What we did
The client and the brief
Elektroinženjering Brodar d.o.o., based in Brezje near Sveta Nedelja, designs, builds and installs low-voltage switchgear, electrical installations, substations and the power infrastructure behind EV charging. The company is the authorised Kempower DC charger distributor for the Croatian market, and its reference list includes work well outside Croatia, from Algeria and Poland to Peru.
Its buyers are industrial plants, investors and charge point operators. These are people who read technical documentation and want to see that a contractor knows the job before they ever pick up the phone. So the site had to carry real technical content while staying readable for someone in procurement who is not an engineer.
The approach
We organised the content by area of expertise. The homepage shows five areas (switchgear, electrical installations, substations, e-mobility, and maintenance and support), and the Services page covers them in more depth together with automation and control. The three areas that carry most of the work, switchgear, substations and e-mobility, each have a page of their own.
Instead of generic sentences, the site names specific cabinet types (main distribution, MCC, PLC and RIO), project stages and applications such as CPO hubs, bus depots, ports and fleets. Some of the content we drew as technical illustrations: a switchgear cabinet, a substation schematic and the flow of energy from the grid to the charger. A picture like that explains the system faster than a paragraph.
On the references page we held to a rule that is also stated on the page itself: where details have not been publicly confirmed, only the type of involvement is listed, with no invented technical figures. For a B2B buyer that is worth more than an inflated list.
What we delivered
- Croatian and English versions with correct
hreflangtags, ten pages in each language - Dedicated pages for low-voltage switchgear, substations and e-mobility, plus a services overview and an About page
- A references page with projects grouped by type: e-mobility, industry, energy, data centres and commercial buildings
- A contact page that routes each enquiry to the right person (management, sales, site delivery, finance), with a form that asks for the project type
- Technical illustrations of the cabinet, substation and energy flow built into the page rather than added as heavy images
- Structured data about the organisation and its address for search engines
- A cookie notice where Google Analytics only loads once the visitor accepts analytics
Technology
The site is built with Astro, which generates static HTML ahead of time. There is no database and no CMS to keep patching, so maintenance comes down to content changes. The form sends enquiries to the company’s inbox, with protection against automated bots.
The outcome
The site is live at ei-brodar.hr in Croatian and English. A visitor can read a technical description of each major area of work, browse references by project type and send an enquiry with basic technical details straight to the person responsible.
We measured the site with Google Lighthouse in mobile mode: accessibility, best practices and SEO each scored 100 out of 100. The company also has something it can attach to a bid in a procurement process: a site that answers technical questions before the first call.
